CAPPELLI: Well, it's been several months since we last talked.  You had indicated your agent wanted you to take some roles in some movies which you were not quite sure of?

BRIGITE: My agent and I had a falling out. Remember I told you that he had said he'd done a survey of my fans and the overwhelming majority wanted me to do those  movies?

CAPPELLI: Yes, I remember. You wanted to see the survey results but he said he had left them in his hotel room in Paris.

BRIGITE: That's what he said. But one day, while I was at his office waiting for him, I noticed a file folder on his desk that said "Brigite Survey". I opened it. It was the survey. The results were that over 88% did not want me to do the films. When I confronted him with that he just stood there and smiled. I fired him and walked out. I walked out with a promo tape of one of the movies too. I couldn't believe what was on it!

CAPPELLI: Good for you. I didn't ever think that sounded correct.  I understand you got a rather interesting phone  calla few  months ago. . From "royalty" was it?

"She flew me out to a villa she'd rented in Barbados."

BRIGITE: Oh, that was so exciting. I had a message waiting for me one day when I got home. It was a very pleasant woman with an English accent. She said she had seen my thong swimwear designs and really wanted to discuss one in particular with me.  She left her phone number and asked me to call her.  It was a number in London.  She just gave her name as Sarah. I couldn't believe  who it was

 when I called.  We've become good friends.  She flew me out to a vacation villa she had rented in Barbados and had me bring along some of my suits for her.  She really liked my St. Tropez one piece thong swimwear, and wanted to buy one in each color, but I couldn't possibly have let her pay, I insisted she let me give them to her as a present.  She is one of the kindest and most genuine persons I have ever met.

CAPPELLI:  When exactly was this and how long were you there?

"She just gave her name as Sarah, I couldn't believe who it was.."

BRIGITE:  I was there in January. I stayed for a week. I thought I was just going there to deliver the swimsuits, but Sarah insisted that I stay. We had a great time. We just laid around the pool and on the beach during the day, and went out at night a few times to some local "pubs" as they call them.

CAPPELLI:  How many people were there at the villa.

BRIGITE:  There were five or six others. Two were body guards.  At first I guess I didn't really see the need, but after a while, it is fairly apparent why she has them. Most people were very nice, but there were a couple of times where we encountered some who were aggressive and hostile.

CAPPELLI:  You started to tell me earlier about an encounter with some reporters in the Caribbean.

BRIGITE: They were not reporters. They were Paparazzi. We had taken the car out and had driven up north to a very secluded area that was suppose to have beautiful beaches

"We were just wearing our bikini bottoms and noticed these paparazzi up in the bushes with their big lenses."

and great snorkeling. We had snorkeled for a while and were sitting on the rocks.  We were topless, just wearing our bikini bottoms, and thinking really nothing about it naturally. Then we noticed these two photographers with big telephoto lenses up in the bushes.  I don't know how long they had been there. We called the body guards who had waited up by the car.  They got rid of them. I didn't see it, but I guess the following week there was a big photo spread with our pictures in one of those London tabloids.

CAPPELLI:  The paparazzi are really low life sometimes. I know they certainly made Princess Diana's life a mess at times.

BRIGITE: Well, the invasion of privacy is bad enough, but I guess in this one tabloid article they claimed that we were lovers or something like that. I got so upset when I heard that, I wanted to find those guys and break their cameras - and their arms. I still get so mad when I think about that. I can't imagine living with that all the time.  What a terrible thing to have to constantly endure.

CAPPELLI: Well you'd better be careful. You may someday be so famous that you, too, are constantly a target for people like that.

BRIGITE: I don't ever want to get that famous.  I would have to draw the line somewhere, and that is where it would be I'm afraid.
