CAPPELLI: How is your movie career progressing these days?
BRIGITE: Well, I have been here, let me think, about 5 or 6 months now. I have had 15 screen tests and many, many interviews. I had two small walk on roles in what I think you call "B" movies, but no other real offers yet though. Well, except some from the, I think you call
them adult films, I'm not sure my agent just told me?
CAPPELLI:
Do you realize what kinds of movies these are Brigite?
BRIGITE: (laughs) I
think my agent told me they are just movies for mature adults, not for
children or anything like that..
"I have had no real film offers yet
though...except for adult films whatever those are?"
CAPPELLI:
Well that is not exactly all there is to it.
BRIGITE: Why
do you say it that way, exactly what does that term adult movies mean? I have had many offers to do those kinds of movies. The pay is certainly not anywhere near what it is in other movies though. I haven't done any.
CAPPELLI: You mean you have actually consider doing some?
BRIGITE: Well, I would prefer not to. I mean, I wouldn't rule it out. I do not like to say never to anything. If I do not get some other roles soon, I am not sure. I do not have the hang-ups as you call them, that I know many women do.

So, if they are simply a little more
risqué than most movies I should not have a problem with them.
CAPPELLI:
Well, you've surprised me. Since we've taken it this far, do you really
know what they do in those movies.
BRIGITE: I think they do a lot of simulated
love scenes. I am not sure, I think it's just a lot of partial nudity. My agent said he surveyed my fan club and they
overwhelmingly
wanted me to do them. And he thought I should do them too. If
my fans feel that way I suppose I should try. I am really very optimistic about getting
some good acting parts soon though.
CAPPELLI: Well you're a
little off in your assessment of what those movies are about. Doesn't this make you the slightest bit uncomfortable talking about things like this with a practical stranger?
BRIGITE:
Not at all. I just cannot understand you Americans. So many
hang-ups, where did they come from? We had a photo crew come down to Cabo
San Lucas, four young men from Los Angeles. We had been taking pictures all
afternoon at a remote beach. I was topless most of the time. I could tell
that these fellows were very aroused. It's funny, most Frenchmen are
not aroused by just the sight of a woman's breasts, I guess it is just so common
on the beaches, it's taken for granted. That is certainly not the case here in
the United States!
CAPPELLI: No, it's certainly not the case here. I think we

change the subject, I doubt whether
my publisher will put
all of this in. What about your family, what do they think of your new found fame?
BRIGITE: I have
one daughter in college in Paris, she thinks it is great. My mother and father were killed a few years ago in that ferry sinking off of Turkey. I have two
sisters. We are triplets. They both live in Paris and work for the same cosmetics company. They think I am crazy to try to continue to become an actress. They came to see me in Cabo. We had a great time reminiscing.
CAPPELLI: So, what's next for Brigite? Do you have any plans for the next couple of weeks until our next visit?
BRIGITE:
Well, I have 3 more screen tests next week. So, I'll wait and see if
anything happens. If, not, I'll just keep trying I guess. My
agent really wants me to take some of those adult movie roles. My
agent says that if I just work for 10 days I can make enough money to cover my expenses for the next two months.
CAPPELLI:
I think you better see one of those movies first! It's more than
just simulated sex. You told me before that your expenses are about $8000 a month here. May I ask, does your agent still get 15% of everything you make?
BRIGITE: Yes, he does. But I think he really earns it. He doesn't have a lot of money himself, but he tries really hard to help me.
You don't mean they have real sex in those movies do you? I don't think
my manager would take advantage of me or make bad recommendations just to make more money for himself. I really don't. Do you?
